Who knew you could get SO excited about RAIN?

Joey created a new flower bed in the backyard for me several weeks ago. We left for the beach and the flowers were blooming and the plants were FULL of leaves. Then when we returned the minature crepe myrtles looked liked this. I was SO upset. I have been watering that flower bed 2-3 times a day trying to keep it from dying completely. WELL, today IT RAINED and really soaked the ground!!! I know the plants still look awful, but there are tiny green leaves growing on the top of the crepe myrtles and I believe they will survive. I know the pic looks like some sticks stuck in the ground, but I promise the crepe looks better than it did on Sunday.
